Quality Assurance / Quality Control Engineer

About the role

The QA/QC Engineer ensures that all construction activities, materials, workmanship and documentation meet approved drawings, specifications, BOQ and contract requirements. The role works independently to monitor quality, identify non‑conformities and support the Project and Site Managers in delivering high‑quality projects.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect construction works for compliance with drawings, shop drawings, specifications and approved method statements across concrete, reinforcement, formwork, masonry, waterproofing, roofing, finishes and MEP.
• Identify defective or non‑conforming work, issue corrective actions, re‑inspect and maintain closure evidence.
• Manage Inspection Requests, approve compliant work or reject non‑compliant items and keep an IR register.
• Issue and track Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs), review corrective‑action proposals and close NCRs after satisfactory rectification.
• Verify incoming material quality, check certificates, segregate rejected items and support material submittal reviews.
• Review contractor Method Statements and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) to ensure appropriate hold points and acceptance criteria.
• Assist in BOQ quantity verification, progress claim verification and ensure work is executed with the latest approved drawings.

Required profile

• Experience in building construction, reinforced concrete, architectural finishes or similar civil works.
• Knowledge of construction quality control processes, inspection and testing procedures.
• Professional certifications in QA/QC, construction or project management are an advantage.
