Solar Site Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an energetic Solar Site Engineer with an Electrical Engineering background to supervise and execute on‑site solar PV installation projects across residential, commercial and industrial sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day site installation activities, ensuring work follows approved Single Line Diagrams (SLD), structural layouts and project schedules.
• Oversee installation of solar PV panels, inverters, battery energy storage systems (BESS), mounting structures, AC/DC cabling and earthing/grounding systems.
• Verify that all equipment and materials delivered to the site match the specifications listed in the Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
• Conduct structural and electrical quality control checks before, during and after installation, and perform testing and commissioning procedures.
• Prepare and sign off completion certificates and hand‑over documentation.
• Manage on‑site technicians, electricians and subcontractors, resolving technical issues promptly to avoid delays.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for the Project Manager and update as‑built drawings as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of practical experience in site supervision, electrical installation or solar PV projects.
• Willingness and physical capability to work outdoors on construction sites, including rooftops and elevated heights.
• Intermediate level English communication skills.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of electrical schematics and Single Line Diagrams (SLD).
• Ability to read and interpret layout drawings and Bill of Quantities.
• Experience with solar PV installation components such as panels, inverters and BESS.
