Pre‑Sales Engineer – Cybersecurity

About the role

The Cybersecurity Pre‑Sales Engineer provides technical expertise throughout the sales cycle, from discovery and solution design to proof‑of‑concept, presentations and hand‑over. The role blends deep knowledge of security technologies with customer‑focused solutioning.

Key responsibilities

• Engage customers to analyse business, security and IT requirements, conduct discovery sessions and security assessments, and develop solution architectures.
• Prepare technical proposals, Bill of Quantities, statements of work, conduct product demos, develop and lead proof‑of‑concept implementations, and support RFP/RFQ responses.
• Build demonstration environments, install and configure solutions for POCs, validate outcomes and document results.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity vendors and partners, maintain product knowledge, attend training, and evaluate new technologies for competitive positioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, Network Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, presales or systems engineering.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPN, VLAN, routing, switching and network security concepts.
• Experience delivering technical presentations, demonstrations and proof‑of‑concepts, and responding to RFP/RFQ/tender requirements.
