Commercial Director – Quantity Surveying

About the role

The Commercial Director will lead the Company’s Commercial and Quantity Surveying function, ensuring strong cost control and commercial governance from tender through to final account closure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the QS and Commercial team, establishing standards for measurement, BOQ control, valuation, forecasting, variations, claims and final accounts.
• Review tender documents, BOQs, drawings and pricing to identify scope gaps, quantity risks and cost exposures before submission.
• Oversee site measurements, progress valuations, payment applications and monitor committed, actual and forecast costs.
• Manage variations and claims, ensuring they are supported by contract provisions, drawings and cost evidence.
• Control subcontractor BOQs, measurements, valuations and final accounts, supporting procurement negotiations.
• Prepare cost and cash‑flow forecasts, monitor margins and lead final account negotiation and closure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 10–15+ years of experience in construction project management, preferably on large‑scale civil infrastructure projects.
• Proven leadership in delivering projects on time and within budget.
