Senior MEP Project Coordinator

About the role

The Senior MEP Project Coordinator will lead the planning, design, and execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on complex construction projects. You will act as the main technical liaison between consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure all MEP works meet design intent, standards, and schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Review and coordinate project drawings, specifications, contracts and requirements for all MEP systems.
• Lead on‑site MEP design, technical and construction activities, ensuring compliance with approved documents and project timelines.
• Conduct design evaluations, technical reviews, cost impact analyses and risk assessments.
• Prepare calculations, BOQs, cost comparisons, technical justifications and supporting documents for the Project Manager.
• Verify design calculations, equipment selections, system capacities and material specifications against standards.
• Coordinate electrical, HVAC (ACMV), plumbing, fire protection, ELV and other MEP disciplines with architectural and structural teams to resolve clashes.
• Review subcontractor shop drawings, material submittals and construction proposals for compliance.
• Manage site inspections, testing, commissioning and hand‑over of MEP systems.
• Prepare and review technical submittals, RFIs, RFAs, RFCs and variation order documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience coordinating large‑scale MEP projects in the construction sector.
• Strong knowledge of international codes, local regulations and industry standards.
• Excellent documentation and record‑keeping skills.
• Ability to identify technical issues and develop cost‑effective, compliant solutions.
