Commercial Manager

About the role

The Commercial Manager will lead all quantity surveying, cost management, contract administration and commercial activities for Royal Group Properties' development and construction projects. This senior position ensures projects are delivered within approved budgets while maintaining quality, contractual compliance and effective risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commercial and cost management from concept design through project completion.
• Develop and manage project cost plans, budgets and forecasts.
• Drive value engineering and cost optimisation throughout design development.
• Oversee procurement, tender evaluation and commercial negotiations.
• Manage contracts, variations, claims and commercial risks, and lead final account close‑out.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Cost Management, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, cost management or contract administration.
• 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership role, preferably in property development or large‑scale building projects.
• Professional certifications in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management are an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Familiarity with quantity surveying (QS) software systems.
