Senior Manager, Product Development

About the role

The Senior Manager, Product Development will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for bringing new products from concept to market across Tapestry’s global brands. This role ensures that design aesthetic, quality standards, cost targets and timelines are met while fostering collaboration across design, engineering, sourcing and production.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day product development processes, aligning priorities with product development leads.
• Oversee product aesthetic, quality, construction, costing and margin goals from prototype through product approval.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams—including design, engineering, sourcing, planning and production—to maintain high‑quality standards and meet corporate timelines.
• Identify and resolve risks in development, material selection, and sample testing, working closely with suppliers and engineering.
• Drive cost‑saving initiatives and develop strategies to meet or exceed margin requirements without compromising brand aesthetics.
• Lead packaging instruction finalization and ensure design intent is clearly communicated to production teams.
• Maintain strong partnerships with suppliers, raw material teams and production facilities.

Required profile

• Significant senior‑level experience in product development within the fashion or apparel industry.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on cost, margin and quality management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
