Merchant Sales Executive

About the role

The Merchant Sales Executive will drive the acquisition of POS and KHQR merchants, expanding the bank’s merchant acceptance network and generating additional deposit and fee income. The role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing merchants while identifying cross‑selling opportunities for other bank products.

Key responsibilities

• Generate leads, conduct cold‑calls and prospect potential merchants within the assigned region.
• Meet merchants in person to understand their needs and present appropriate merchant products and services.
• Educate merchant representatives on card acceptance procedures and coordinate training with POS vendors.
• Collaborate with Risk and Fraud teams to ensure appropriate POS functionalities are granted.
• Implement merchant service policies, monitor merchant performance and encourage usage of the bank’s transaction platform.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with key merchants through regular visits and support.
• Support cross‑selling of additional bank products and perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in sales, preferably within merchant acquisition or banking.
• Strong written and spoken English; additional language skills such as Mandarin are a plus.
• High commitment, good communication and interpersonal abilities.
