Merchandiser – Retail Purchasing & Supplier Management

About the role

The Merchandiser will drive the purchasing strategy for our home‑center product range, ensuring the right products are sourced at competitive prices while maintaining compliance and strong supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research on retail competitors and trends to support product selection.
• Identify, evaluate and qualify potential suppliers for household goods, electronics, furniture and leisure items.
• Ensure all purchasing transactions are transparent, documented and compliant with company policies and legal requirements.
• Negotiate terms with suppliers, coordinate invoices, account setup and maintain regular purchasing reports.
• Collaborate with store operations to monitor product performance and its impact on sales.
• Maintain accurate records of supplier licences, copyrights and other compliance documents.
• Support the General Manager with additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in retail purchasing, merchandising or floor management.
• Experience with household goods, home electronics, furniture, leisure products or home improvement items.
• Fluent English for business communication and comfortable working under a foreign supervisor.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and organizational abilities.
• Interest in home‑center product categories and ability to work in a multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
