Junior Accounting Officer

About the role

Sika Cambodia is seeking a Junior Accounting Officer to support its finance team in managing customer accounts and fixed assets. This entry‑level position offers exposure to a fast‑growing specialty chemicals business operating across the construction sector.

Key responsibilities

• Process customer invoices, credit notes, receipts and account transactions accurately and on schedule.
• Follow up collections, monitor overdue balances and coordinate with sales teams to ensure timely payments.
• Reconcile customer accounts, investigate discrepancies between statements, SAP records and supporting documents.
• Monitor credit limits, blocked orders and collection risks, escalating issues as needed.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register, record acquisitions, disposals, transfers and depreciation.
• Review and reconcile fixed‑asset balances, depreciation schedules, CIP and capital‑expenditure records each month.
• Coordinate periodic physical verification of assets and resolve any variances.
• Prepare month‑end closing schedules for accounts receivable, fixed assets and depreciation.
• Support tax filings, audit requests and documentation related to receivables and assets.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, approval matrices and the four‑eyes principle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Fresh graduate or up to one year of relevant experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills for interaction with sales and other departments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP for accounts receivable and fixed‑asset accounting.
