Japanese‑Speaking Engineer / Technical Professional (Phnom Penh)

About the role

We are seeking a Japanese‑speaking Engineer or Technical Professional to join our on‑site team in Phnom Penh. The role supports the planning, design and execution of high‑end construction projects while acting as a bridge between Japanese clients, partners and our internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in project planning, design reviews and on‑site execution.
• Translate and interpret technical documents, drawings and communications between Japanese and English (or local languages).
• Attend site meetings, prepare technical reports and maintain project documentation.
• Monitor progress, ensure compliance with safety, quality and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues and support successful delivery.

Required profile

• Strong Japanese language skills (reading, writing and speaking).
• Professional experience or academic background in engineering, construction management, architecture or a related field.
• Familiarity with construction processes, quality standards and site safety practices, preferably on high‑end or large‑scale projects.
• Ability to work on‑site in Phnom Penh and travel to project sites regularly.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant technical discipline is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software.
• Experience using project management tools.
• Basic office software proficiency.
