Actuarial Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Actuarial Analyst to join our actuarial team. This position is ideal for new graduates or early‑career professionals with a quantitative background who want to develop a career in financial services and insurance. You will receive hands‑on exposure to actuarial work and structured coaching from experienced actuaries.

Key responsibilities

• Support regular actuarial valuation and financial reporting activities, including data preparation, model runs, result checking, reconciliations, and reporting material preparation.
• Assist with product pricing and related analysis by preparing data and assumptions, running pricing models, checking outputs, and documenting results.
• Collect, validate, and analyse actuarial and business data; investigate unusual results or data issues and escalate findings as appropriate.
• Maintain and update actuarial models, spreadsheets, databases, process documentation, and working files under senior guidance.
• Support experience studies, assumption reviews, forecasts, financial planning, and other ad‑hoc actuarial analyses.
• Prepare clear summaries, reports, and presentation materials for actuarial colleagues and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Actuarial, Finance, Product, Risk, IT, and other functions to obtain inputs, resolve issues, and deliver work accurately and on time.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and quality of actuarial processes using Excel, VBA, AI tools, or other relevant technologies while adhering to controls and governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, accounting, or another relevant quantitative or business discipline.
• Open to new graduates and candidates from accounting, finance, banking, audit, risk, data analytics, or related financial‑services backgrounds.
• No prior actuarial experience required; strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Excellent numerical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to producing accurate, well‑documented work.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Knowledge of VBA (preferred).
• Familiarity with AI or automation tools (preferred).
