Buyer I – Procurement Specialist

About the role

Jabil is seeking a Buyer I to procure all components required for production and prototype builds. The role focuses on achieving optimal pricing, lead‑time agreements, and resolving quality and delivery issues while maintaining appropriate inventory levels.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in MPS loading decisions and size materials appropriately.
• Analyze, maintain, and execute the Materials Requirement Plan (MRP) to ensure material availability.
• Monitor the materials pipeline, identify supply issues, and coordinate material movement from receiving to production.
• Issue purchase orders in line with negotiated pricing, terms, and conditions.
• Maintain master data integrity and purchasing planning parameters.
• Track supplier performance on delivery, quality, and service, and drive corrective actions when needed.
• Support accounts payable in resolving invoice discrepancies.
• Provide input for commodity and pricing strategy and collaborate with buyers, commodity managers, and SCM.

Required profile

• Strong analytical abilities to calculate figures and amounts.
• Understanding of supply‑chain processes and material liability ownership.
• Ability to work proactively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Attention to detail for data integrity and compliance with safety and security policies.
