Water Governance Coordinator

About the role

The Water Governance Coordinator will support stakeholder coordination, government engagement and water governance activities for the Australia Cambodia Partnership for Climate Resilience (ACP4Climate) program in Cambodia. Based in Phnom Penh, the role acts as a key liaison between ACP4Climate, the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MOWRAM), other government institutions and development partners.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate engagement and collaboration between ACP4Climate, MOWRAM, government agencies, development partners and other stakeholders.
• Provide secretariat support to governance mechanisms, including meeting coordination, agenda preparation, briefing materials, minutes and follow‑up actions.
• Prepare correspondence, reports, briefing materials and communications in Khmer and English.
• Facilitate knowledge‑sharing, learning activities and stakeholder engagement related to water governance and climate resilience.
• Support program planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting across water governance initiatives.
• Organise workshops, consultations, field visits and capacity‑building activities with government and program partners.
• Maintain records, track key actions and ensure timely communication across stakeholders.

Required profile

• Open to Cambodian nationals only.
• Experience in governance, stakeholder engagement and water resource management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Khmer and English.
• Willingness to travel regularly to program implementation areas.

Required skills

• Secretariat support: agenda preparation, minute taking, follow‑up actions.
• Report and briefing material preparation.
• Facilitation of workshops, consultations and capacity‑building activities.
