About the role

The President provides executive leadership for AUPP, ensuring compliance with accreditation bodies, steering strategic direction, and fostering academic innovation. This senior role reports to the Founder and Board of Trustees and serves as the public face of the university.

Key responsibilities

• Lead institutional compliance and accreditation readiness, overseeing ACC, MOEYS, and American accreditation processes.
• Review, evaluate, and update the university’s strategic plan, guiding its implementation.
• Conduct market analysis to identify emerging employment opportunities in Cambodia and develop new academic programs.
• Promote academic innovation and revenue diversification through certificates, professional programs, and specialized modules.
• Perform strategic analysis of the higher‑education landscape to strengthen differentiation and recruitment.
• Reengage faculty and staff around the university’s vision, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Establish executive recruitment, onboarding, and retention processes for senior leaders and faculty.
• Drive enrollment, retention, and student success initiatives across marketing, admissions, and student services.
• Collaborate with the leadership team, Board of Trustees, and Founder to ensure mission‑driven governance.
• Act as the university’s ambassador, building and expanding strategic partnerships.

Required profile

• Terminal degree (PhD, EdD, JD, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Proven senior leadership experience in higher education.
• Demonstrated expertise in accreditation, strategic planning, and institutional governance.
