Technical Director Asia Pacific

About the role

Insuco, a consulting firm specializing in applied social sciences and sustainability, is seeking a Technical Director for its Phnom Penh office. The role combines strategic technical leadership with business development to ensure high‑quality project delivery across the Asia Pacific region.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the technical roadmap aligned with commercial goals, in partnership with the Regional Director.
• Lead the Technical Department, providing guidance on technical issues and overseeing staff.
• Implement and monitor ERP and other digital tools for project management.
• Support business development by preparing tender responses, identifying new clients, and representing Insuco at events.
• Oversee project execution, ensuring technical quality and coordinating internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain a database of consultants and partners, and conduct field missions as needed.
• Drive R&D by capturing lessons learned, updating methodologies, and ensuring best practices in documentation.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in social sciences, economics, agronomy, environment or a related field.
• At least 4 years of successful field and project management experience in challenging environments.
• Familiarity with international standards for Social Impact Assessments and Resettlement Action Plans is a plus.
• Proven ability to work in multicultural settings.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
