Tax Associate – Direct Tax

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a motivated Tax Associate to join its Direct Tax practice in Phnom Penh. You will work within a collaborative team to analyze client issues, liaise with executives and government officials, and contribute to delivering purpose‑led tax solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze client tax issues and develop practical recommendations.
• Engage with client executives, government officials, and financial professionals as needed.
• Identify problems, define symptoms, and propose effective solutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with peers across Deloitte practice areas.
• Leverage knowledge networks to extract relevant information for projects.
• Contribute project qualifications and deliverables to the global knowledge database.
• Support documentation and sharing of lessons learned from each engagement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline with a strong academic record (GPA ≥ 3.0 preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Khmer and English.
• Strong organizational, time‑management, problem‑solving, and analytical abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn Deloitte’s technology platforms.
• Proactive involvement in new or challenging projects and a collaborative team mindset.
