System Administration Officer

About the role

The System Administration Officer will be responsible for maintaining the bank’s IT infrastructure across the data‑center, server and network environments. The role ensures hardware, operating systems and related services run reliably to support business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and configure hardware and operating systems (UNIX, Linux, Windows).
• Perform server patching and routine maintenance of servers, storage systems and SAN switches.
• Monitor and manage the primary data‑center and backup site, including IP‑phone gateway and email services.
• Maintain documentation, upgrade or replace hardware and software components as needed.
• Provide first‑line IT support for branch locations and resolve related issues.
• Execute additional tasks assigned by the manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, MIS or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of server hardware, storage components and data‑center facilities.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux (Oracle Solaris, Red Hat Linux) and virtualization (VMware).
• Understanding of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Server, Office 365 and Azure AD.
• Background in banking or 24/7 server/network environments.
• Proficient written and spoken English.
