Site Engineer – Geotechnical Field Operations

About the role

The Site Engineer will be based on‑site in Phnom Penh, overseeing geotechnical field investigations and ensuring that drilling, sampling, testing and instrumentation activities are carried out safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise geotechnical drilling, sampling, testing and instrumentation on construction sites.
• Monitor construction quality, verify compliance with engineering specifications and support design teams with accurate field data.
• Prepare clear site reports, communicate findings to project managers and clients, and help resolve technical issues during construction.

Required profile

• Background as a civil or geotechnical engineer with knowledge of structural and foundation principles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in quality control, inspection and testing oversight on construction sites.

Required skills

• Ability to manage on‑site field activities and adhere to safety standards.
• Strong communication skills for reporting and client interaction.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and geotechnical reports.
• Familiarity with geotechnical testing equipment and common engineering software tools.
