Senior Software Engineer - Backend (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer specialized in backend development to join a global platform on a contract basis. The role is hybrid, allowing you to work remotely while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑performance services used by millions worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to define requirements and shape architecture.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise existing services for performance and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
• Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
