Senior Relationship Manager (SME)

About the role

The Senior Relationship Manager (SME) will lead the bank’s small‑and‑medium enterprise lending business. You will acquire new SME clients, expand existing relationships, and ensure the loan portfolio remains profitable and of high quality while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Business Development: Prospect and acquire new SME customers to increase the bank’s loan portfolio.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing SME clients to encourage repeat business and portfolio growth.
• Credit & Risk Assessment: Evaluate borrowers’ financial health, perform credit analysis, and recommend sound lending decisions.
• Portfolio Monitoring: Continuously monitor customer accounts for additional business opportunities and early warning signs of credit deterioration.
• Cross‑functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders to generate referrals, improve processes, and deliver seamless customer service.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure all lending activities comply with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in sales or customer‑facing roles, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and credit analysis.
• Knowledge of Cambodia’s SME market and business environment.
• Excellent communication skills in Khmer and English.
• Ability to work under pressure and travel as required.
