Senior Power Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Power Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of power systems that support data centers, POP sites, and telecom infrastructure. The role ensures reliable power distribution, operational efficiency, and high availability across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead preventive and corrective maintenance of power equipment (rectifiers, inverters, batteries, STS, racks, etc.) at data‑center DR sites and POP locations.
• Plan, schedule, and execute equipment replacements, upgrades, and capacity expansions while maintaining an up‑to‑date inventory.
• Design AC/DC electrical systems, backup power solutions, and evaluate redundancy (N+1) and load‑balancing strategies.
• Oversee installation, commissioning, and upgrades, coordinating technicians, vendors, and internal teams.
• Monitor system alerts, respond to outages, and track key parameters such as battery health, UPS performance, and generator runtime.
• Prepare monthly maintenance, inventory, and activity reports; conduct root‑cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
• Support project planning, budgeting, and procurement for power‑related CAPEX and OPEX initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Power Engineering (Master’s a plus).
• At least 5 years of experience in telecom or ISP power systems.
• Professional certifications (PE, PMP) are advantageous.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and work under pressure.

Required skills

• UPS, generators, batteries, STS, AVR, and DC power systems.
• Power system design, installation, troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance.
• AutoCAD proficiency.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as SCADA or EMS.
