Senior Executive, Accounting

About the role

The Senior Executive, Accounting will manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial records, and support the Manager/Head in meeting compliance and reporting obligations. This position plays a key role in month‑end and year‑end closing, tax reporting, and audit coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accounting technical support to internal stakeholders.
• Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system and ensure proper voucher authorization.
• Participate in project and product testing activities.
• Execute monthly and annual book‑closing processes, meeting all deadlines.
• Perform daily and monthly account reconciliations for assigned sections.
• Prepare regulatory, group, and management reports.
• Manage end‑to‑end tax reporting, including filings, payments, audits, and communication with tax authorities.
• Coordinate activities with internal auditors, external auditors, and tax auditors.
• Undertake additional duties assigned by the Line Manager/Head.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Business Administration or equivalent.
• CAT or ACCA qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
• High proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with an accounting system for transaction entry and voucher processing.
