About the role
The Senior Digital Backend Development Officer will design, build, and maintain secure web services and APIs that power front‑end and mobile applications. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of the company's digital platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot and other languages such as Ruby, PHP, and Python.
- Analyze business requirements, design solutions, and lead integration projects across teams.
- Optimize legacy applications for speed, scalability, and security.
- Collaborate with front‑end developers, designers, system administrators, and other stakeholders.
- Perform troubleshooting, debugging, UI testing, and continuous performance tuning.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement cybersecurity measures.
Required profile
- BSc in IT/MIS or related field.
- 2‑3 years of experience in backend development or a similar software engineering role.
- Proven ability to design, develop, and deploy web applications end‑to‑end.
- Strong command of spoken and written English.
