Senior Database Administrator

About the role

The Bank is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to manage and maintain its critical database environments. You will ensure high availability, security, and performance of Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL platforms while supporting development and testing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Install and upgrade Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL software versions.
• Design, implement, and maintain HA/DR solutions such as Oracle Data Guard, RAC, and equivalent mechanisms for other databases.
• Build and manage physical/logical standby databases using Data Guard Broker.
• Perform routine maintenance, backup, restore, and disaster‑recovery procedures.
• Control access permissions, monitor performance, and tune databases proactively.
• Provide DBA support to developers, document configurations, and assist in UAT restores.
• Develop automation scripts on UNIX/Linux platforms and enforce architecture standards.
• Participate in design reviews and troubleshoot database issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of DBA experience, preferably in the banking sector.
• Oracle Database Administrator Certified Associate (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate (preferred).
• Experience with Linux system administration.
• Honest, quick learner, flexible, punctual and able to work well in a team.

• Linux/UNIX operating systems and shell scripting.
