Senior Architect

About the role

H1 Bureau, a Phnom Penh‑based architectural and interior design studio, is seeking a Senior Architect to lead project design from concept through construction. This full‑time, onsite position will ensure every project aligns with the studio’s design philosophy and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop design concepts and detailed architectural drawings for residential, retail, and potentially F&B projects.
• Prepare specifications and coordinate with consultants, engineers, and contractors.
• Oversee design reviews, site inspections, and resolve design issues.
• Collaborate closely with the Managing Director and project teams to deliver cost‑effective solutions.
• Mentor junior architects and contribute to design research initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of architectural experience, preferably with a reputable design or construction firm in Cambodia.
• Strong portfolio of high‑quality residential or retail projects; F&B experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
• Fluent in English and Khmer (written and spoken).
• Independent, reliable, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Willing to be based in Phnom Penh.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Advanced proficiency in SketchUp.
• Experience with rendering software.
• Strong technical drawing and detailing abilities.
• Knowledge of local building construction practices in Cambodia or similar markets.
