Scientific Coding (Chemistry & Python) – $100/hr Remote Project

About the role

This 8‑week remote project seeks experts in chemistry and Python to design and implement scientific coding tasks that will be used to train and evaluate advanced AI models. The role is fully contract‑based, requiring 40 hours per week with a minimum of 4 hours of overlap with PST for meetings and reviews.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a main scientific problem and at least three logically connected sub‑problems for AI training.
• Implement verified Python solutions with full unit‑test coverage using scientific libraries.
• Create discriminative test cases that separate correct from incorrect model outputs.
• Perform quality control checks on task structure, scientific accuracy, determinism, and adherence to rubrics.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field.
• Strong experience in scientific computing, research, and AI data annotation.
• Excellent written communication and ability to work remotely as a contractor.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• NumPy, SciPy, SymPy (or equivalent scientific computing libraries).
