Relationship Manager - Corporate Banking

About the role

The Relationship Manager – Corporate Banking will support clients through both proactive outreach and inbound communications, aiming to maximise revenue and deepen long‑term relationships. The role combines marketing support, loan proposal preparation, and first‑level credit evaluation to drive new business and retain existing accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire new commercial loan, deposit and fee‑income relationships while managing a portfolio of existing corporate banking accounts.
• Prepare credit applications, proposals and first‑level credit evaluations for new and existing clients.
• Monitor asset quality, ensure compliance with credit policies and regulatory guidelines, and address key risks before submission.
• Collaborate with product partners such as Trade Services, Markets, and Deposit & Liability Management to deliver comprehensive banking solutions.
• Promote utilisation of existing facilities, drive revenue growth, and follow up on facility acceptance and drawdown.
• Maintain market intelligence on client industries and provide tailored solutions to meet client needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in banking, specifically in trade finance, foreign exchange (FX) and lending.
• Strong knowledge of banking and financial services, with the ability to evaluate credit risk.
• Proficiency in English with good communication and negotiation skills.
