Quantity Surveyor Manager – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

We are an infrastructure and construction company seeking an experienced Quantity Surveying (QS) Manager to lead commercial, cost control, and contract administration across multiple infrastructure projects. The role demands strong technical capability, leadership, and disciplined execution in a fast‑paced main contractor environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all quantity surveying activities for roads, drainage, utilities, earthworks, bridges and related projects.
• Review tender documents, drawings, BOQs, specifications and contract conditions.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, rate analysis and project budgets.
• Monitor project costs, certify subcontractor progress claims and variation orders, and ensure expenditures stay within approved budgets.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, evaluation, negotiations and contract administration.
• Prepare client payment applications, follow up on certification and collections.
• Identify, evaluate and negotiate variations, claims and extensions of time.
• Conduct cost reporting, forecasting and cash‑flow analysis for senior management.
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement and Finance teams.
• Mentor and develop QS team members while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 8 years in a managerial position on infrastructure projects such as road construction, earthworks, drainage, water supply, utilities or bridges.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, contract administration, claims handling, variations and dispute resolution.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
