Project Officer for BASIN

About the role

The Project Officer will lead the field implementation of the BASIN programme in Kratie province, supporting agricultural value‑chain development, climate‑smart farming and inclusive market systems for vulnerable communities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate the implementation plan for BASIN activities across targeted districts and communes.
• Support farmer groups and agricultural cooperatives on cashew, vegetable and other value‑chain interventions.
• Facilitate training, coaching and demonstrations on climate‑smart agriculture, good agricultural practices, financial literacy, GEDSI tools and market linkages.
• Ensure activities follow technical guidance, project design documents and donor requirements.
• Monitor progress against work plans, collect field data using World Vision monitoring systems and adjust implementation as needed.
• Coordinate regularly with the Provincial Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, local authorities, private‑sector actors and civil‑society partners.
• Build relationships with input suppliers, buyers, processors and other market actors to support cooperatives and farmers.
• Conduct capacity assessments, finance and procurement training, spot checks and ensure compliance with World Vision finance policies.
• Document success stories, lessons learned and prepare monthly, quarterly and ad‑hoc reports for the Project Manager.
• Uphold safeguarding, protection and accountability standards throughout project activities.
