Project Development Officer

About the role

The Project Development Officer will lead research, design and implementation of new agricultural projects, working closely with partners and local communities in Phnom Penh.

Key responsibilities

• Research and develop innovative agriculture‑related projects.
• Collect and analyse data, preparing comprehensive project documentation.
• Design implementation plans together with partners and stakeholders.
• Disseminate project information to farmers and target communities to encourage participation.
• Monitor progress against targets on a monthly basis and as needed.
• Conduct semi‑annual and annual project evaluations.
• Prepare summaries of successful outcomes and key messages for national and international development partners.
• Produce monthly, quarterly, semi‑annual and annual progress reports for senior management.
• Undertake additional tasks assigned by the department head.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics, rural development, finance, banking, business management or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in project management.
• Strong research abilities and capacity to generate new project ideas.
• Excellent communication skills in Khmer and English.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and statistical software (SPSS, Stata or E‑views).
• High integrity, teamwork orientation, strong responsibility and dedication.
