PR & Communications Expert (Remote Contractor)

About the role

This is an hourly, remote contractor position where you will act as a PR & Communications Subject Matter Expert. You will review AI‑generated PR outputs, create high‑quality communications content, and provide detailed feedback to improve accuracy, messaging discipline, and risk awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI training content by creating detailed prompts and gold‑standard PR deliverables such as press releases, statements, pitches, FAQs and communications plans.
• Optimize AI performance by evaluating, ranking and refining AI responses to ensure clarity, credibility and stakeholder fit.
• Ensure model integrity by testing outputs for inaccuracies, reputational risk, bias and unsafe claims across scenarios like product launches, incident responses and policy changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of professional PR or communications experience, including writing press releases, media pitches, statements and other stakeholder‑facing materials.
• Strong command of message development, narrative building, proof points and tone control, with experience in crisis communications.
• Excellent editing and quality‑assurance skills, able to provide precise, actionable feedback and produce gold‑standard rewrites.
