Payment Reconciliation and Settlement Officer

About the role

The Payment Reconciliation and Settlement Officer is responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, reconciling financial accounts, and ensuring proper settlement of debit and credit card fees across all branches. This role supports the Accounting Manager by preparing financial statements and providing actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and other financial data.
• Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts on a regular basis.
• Prepare and reconcile financial statements for the Accounting Manager.
• Verify debit card fees, PIN fees, and credit card annual fees using systems such as GRG, Smart Vista, Data Pro, and T24.
• Support branches on debit‑card fee issues and coordinate with the Card Operations team.
• Execute manual and automated fee settlements, run UAT testing, and validate settlement data.
• Handle fee‑related documentation, including requests for fee re‑tries, free fees, damaged or lost cards.

Required profile

• University degree in Banking & Finance or a related field.
• Proven experience in an accounting or finance environment.
• Strong teamwork abilities and fluency in written and spoken English.
• Basic computer literacy with Microsoft Office applications.
