Operations Data Engineer

About the role

The Operations Data Engineer will support the procurement and logistics functions by assisting in market research, supplier management, and customs clearance activities. The role works closely with internal departments and external partners to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in exploring new markets for sources of goods and services.
• Review specifications, delivery conditions, and payment terms for appropriateness.
• Obtain supplier quotes, prepare quote analysis, and support management approval.
• Maintain contact with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and service fulfillment.
• Update and maintain supplier and purchase price databases regularly.
• Resolve issues such as defective goods, damages, or returns.
• Issue quotations, purchase orders, and service contracts for departmental approval.
• Coordinate with transport agents and customs to manage shipments and ensure timely clearance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Marketing or a related field.
• 3‑5 years experience in procurement, shipment and customs clearance, preferably with Cambodia customs and transport agents.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, technical specifications, and Cambodian tax and customs regulations.
• Strong teamwork ability in a multicultural environment and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Negotiation and analytical skills; knowledge of mechanical or electrical engineering is a plus.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
