National Consultant for My Journey Mobile App Update

About the role

UN Women Cambodia is seeking a National Consultant to lead the update of the "My Journey" mobile application. The consultant will work remotely from Phnom Penh and support the EU‑funded PROTECT project, which aims to improve the safety and rights of women and children in labour migration.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse the current version of the My Journey app and identify required enhancements.
• Coordinate with UN Women programme staff, Ministry of Women’s Affairs and other stakeholders to ensure the app aligns with project objectives and gender‑sensitive standards.
• Oversee the design, development, testing and deployment of new features.
• Provide technical guidance to local developers and ensure compliance with international data‑protection norms.
• Prepare documentation and training materials for end‑users, especially women migrant workers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mobile‑app development or consultancy, preferably in a development or humanitarian context.
• Familiarity with gender equality initiatives and the challenges faced by women migrant workers in Southeast Asia.
• Ability to work independently on a home‑based retainer basis and communicate effectively with multi‑stakeholder teams.
