Mortgage Loan Officer

About the role

The Mortgage Loan Officer will process and analyze mortgage applications for individual and corporate clients at our Phnom Penh branch. The role focuses on credit investigations, loan underwriting, and ensuring high loan quality while providing excellent client service.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and grow mortgage client portfolio in line with branch policies.
• Collect and verify all required documents, including credit histories and financial statements.
• Conduct credit investigations, property evaluations, and repayment capacity analysis.
• Perform site visits to assess loan purpose and collateral security.
• Prepare loan contracts, arrange timely disbursements, and explain loan options to clients.
• Monitor existing loans through regular visits and follow up on delinquent accounts.
• Register title deeds with local authorities and handle other assigned tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum one year of experience in mortgage lending, banking or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of loan policies, credit risk management and property evaluation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills in both Khmer and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to use the bank’s loan processing software.
