Merchandiser

About the role

We are looking for a Merchandiser to lead purchasing strategy, ensure compliance, and manage supplier relationships for our retail operations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research to analyze competitors and trends, and gather detailed market information to support product selection and purchasing decisions.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for competitiveness, reliability, and compliance with licenses and copyrights.
• Ensure all purchasing transactions are transparent, compliant with company policies and legal requirements, and maintain proper documentation.
• Participate in supplier negotiations, prepare purchasing reports, coordinate invoices and account setup, and collaborate with store operations to monitor product performance.
• Perform other duties assigned by the General Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in retail purchasing, merchandising, floor management or marketing, preferably with household goods, electronics, furniture, leisure or home improvement products.
• Ability to communicate in English for business purposes and willingness to adopt a learning mindset.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and responsibility qualities, with interest in home‑center product categories.
• Ability to work under a foreign supervisor in a multicultural environment.
