Manufacturing Manager (Food Processing)

About the role

The Manufacturing Manager will oversee all stages of food production, ensuring that output meets sales demand while maintaining quality, safety and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and control daily, weekly and monthly production schedules to meet demand.
• Manage the end‑to‑end production flow from raw material receipt through processing, packaging and finished‑goods transfer.
• Coordinate raw material and inventory availability with Warehouse, Purchasing and QA/QC, ensuring traceability and minimal waste.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000 and other food‑safety standards, investigating any quality issues.
• Lead, supervise and develop the production team, handling manpower allocation, training, attendance and performance metrics.
• Control production costs, material usage, yield, waste, overtime and utilities, identifying bottlenecks and driving efficiency.
• Collaborate with Sales, Planning, Purchasing, QA/QC, Maintenance and Finance to align production with business priorities.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production reports and support continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing food‑processing or manufacturing operations.
• Strong knowledge of food‑safety regulations (GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000) and quality systems.
• Leadership ability to supervise and develop production staff.
• Analytical mindset for cost control and productivity improvement.
• Effective coordination with cross‑functional departments.
