Lead Teacher - Lower GEP Program

About the role

The Lower GEP Lead Teacher will oversee ACE’s General English Programs (Levels 1‑9) in Phnom Penh, ensuring high‑quality educational outcomes and supporting both teachers and students across the curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Teach up to 13.5 hours weekly on the General English Program and cover classes when needed.
• Collaborate with the Academic Team to monitor curriculum implementation, provide feedback, and develop support materials.
• Offer day‑to‑day assistance to teachers on lesson preparation, classroom management, student assessment, and training needs.
• Serve as the main communication link between the Academic Coordinator and teachers, delivering briefings and updates.
• Manage extra‑curricular activities and academic projects such as GEP Graded Readers and mock IELTS exams.
• Counsel students on attendance, motivation, and level placement, and support academic counselling with the CSO team.
• Observe and mentor new teachers, conduct professional‑development sessions, and encourage peer‑sharing practices.
• Handle administrative duties including timetabling, assessments, enrolment procedures, and reporting of student performance data.
• Coordinate campus events, parent‑teacher communications, and contributions to the “I’m ACE” magazine or website.
• Participate in ACE events and community outreach, and assist with recruitment and induction of new teaching staff.
