IT Technician

About the role

The IT Technician will support the institution’s technology environment by assisting in the management of hardware, software, licenses and related assets. The role involves providing day‑to‑day technical assistance to staff, lecturers, students and classroom environments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing IT hardware, software, licenses and related assets.
• Install, configure, update and maintain computers, servers, printers, networks and other IT systems.
• Support staff email accounts, signatures, user profiles, access rights and domain accounts.
• Provide technical support for software, Wi‑Fi and hardware issues across the campus.
• Coordinate and support computer‑based examinations, including system preparation, testing, troubleshooting, invigilation and reporting.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.

Required profile

• Ability to assist in managing IT assets and licenses.
• Strong problem‑solving skills for hardware and software issues.
• Good communication skills to support staff, lecturers and students.
