Internal Control Unit Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Internal Control Unit Manager to lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of our internal control framework across the organization. The role will work closely with business units, audit, finance, HR, legal and senior management to ensure robust controls and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve the company’s internal control framework, policies, procedures and control standards.
• Lead internal control reviews across business units and functions to identify operational, financial, compliance and process risks.
• Monitor the effectiveness of internal controls and ensure corrective actions are properly implemented and followed up.
• Conduct risk assessments and provide practical recommendations to strengthen business processes and minimize risks.
• Coordinate with internal/external audit, finance, HR, legal and business units to address control issues, audit findings and compliance requirements.
• Prepare regular internal control reports for senior management, highlighting key risks, control gaps, improvement actions and overall control effectiveness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management or a related field; professional certification is a plus.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in internal control, internal audit, risk management or compliance, with management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk assessment, audit processes, compliance and business process improvement.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and develop practical risk‑control solutions.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, leadership and report‑writing abilities.
• High level of integrity, independence, attention to detail and professional judgment.
