Insurance Project Manager for Climate Meso-Micro

About the role

The Insurance Project Manager will lead the design, implementation and oversight of climate and health insurance solutions for vulnerable communities in Cambodia. Reporting to senior leadership, the role combines strategic product development with on‑the‑ground execution to ensure regulatory compliance, stakeholder alignment and measurable impact.

Key responsibilities

• Develop context‑relevant climate and health insurance products that meet local market needs and regulatory standards.
• Establish and manage joint monitoring frameworks with insurers and partners, tracking product uptake, claim payouts and field performance.
• Conduct regular field visits across target provinces to gather user feedback, resolve operational bottlenecks and ensure high‑quality execution.
• Oversee baseline, mid‑term and end‑line impact studies to assess socio‑economic resilience and financial protection.
• Analyse operational data and performance metrics to recommend iterative improvements.
• Coordinate with compliance, legal and regulatory teams to incorporate changes into project plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project management of insurance or financial inclusion programmes.
• Strong understanding of climate risk, health risk and micro‑insurance concepts.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to work with insurers, NGOs and government agencies.
• Ability to travel frequently within Cambodia for field monitoring.
