IB PYP Coordinator – International School

About the role

Bloom International School, an emerging K‑12 IB World School in Phnom Penh, is seeking an experienced IB PYP Coordinator to join its founding academic team. You will play a pivotal role in establishing the Primary Years Programme (PYP) across Preschool and Primary as the school moves through its candidacy and authorisation journey.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and ongoing development of the PYP across Preschool and Primary.
• Coordinate the school’s preparation for PYP authorisation.
• Develop the Programme of Inquiry and support the creation of units of inquiry.
• Foster strong collaborative‑planning practices among teachers.
• Coach teachers in inquiry‑based, concept‑driven, student‑centred learning.
• Support assessment practices, multilingualism, inclusion, and related policies.
• Organise PYP professional learning, teacher induction, and community outreach.
• Promote student agency, international‑mindedness, and the IB Learner Profile.
• Contribute to curriculum continuity as the school expands to K‑12.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong teaching experience in Preschool and/or Primary settings.
• Deep understanding of inquiry‑based and student‑centred education.
• Excellent curriculum planning, facilitation, and teacher‑support skills.
• Ability to thrive in a multicultural, multilingual school community.
• Previous experience as a PYP Coordinator or academic leader, IB World School experience, or relevant IB professional development is highly desirable.
