Head of School – Lead New International School

About the role

Bloom International School is launching its Preschool and Primary provision in January 2027 and seeks an experienced Principal to lead the establishment and future growth of the school. This senior leader will shape the school’s culture, academic direction, and long‑term development as it expands toward a full K‑12 international programme.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic, academic and operational leadership for the new school.
• Lead academic and whole‑school development, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning and student wellbeing.
• Oversee preparations for the January 2027 opening.
• Support the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) candidacy and authorisation journey.
• Recruit, develop and lead high‑quality local and international educators.
• Develop a multilingual, internationally minded learning environment.
• Build strong relationships with parents and the wider school community.
• Ensure effective school operations, safeguarding and regulatory compliance.
• Lead the progressive expansion toward a comprehensive K‑12 international school.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Education or a related discipline (highly desirable).
• Recognised teaching qualification.
• Significant teaching and educational leadership experience.
• Proven experience leading teachers and improving teaching and learning.
• Strong understanding of international education and the IB curriculum.
• Excellent strategic, organisational, communication and people‑management skills.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
• Previous senior school leadership experience (Principal, Head of School, Deputy Head or equivalent) is highly desirable.
