General Manager

About the role

Annam (Cambodia) Company Limited is seeking an experienced, commercially minded General Manager to lead the company’s operations and next stage of development in Cambodia. This senior leadership role requires a strong people manager with proven experience in FMCG, food and beverage, retail or distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Set and deliver the five‑year direction, annual operating plan, budgets and business priorities with the Managing Director and Board.
• Improve sales and marketing performance by defining channel, customer, product and team plans and conducting regular reviews.
• Strengthen Modern Trade and retail relationships, distribution, execution and sustainable revenue growth.
• Lead department heads across Sales, Marketing, Logistics, Warehousing, Supply Chain, Finance, Administration, HR and Customer Service.
• Manage revenue, margins, expenses, cash flow and ROI; identify issues early and take corrective action.
• Improve demand forecasting, inventory planning and stock management to protect service levels, working capital and product freshness.
• Set practical KPIs, hold regular performance reviews and build accountability, collaboration and capability across the organization.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, systems, internal controls, risk management and protection of company assets.
• Lead new product and brand launches, including market‑entry plans and route‑to‑market execution.
• Build effective relationships with customers, suppliers, brand owners and business partners; support negotiations and contract implementation.
• Provide timely management reports and operational advice to the Managing Director and Board.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, management, finance, marketing or a related field.
• Significant experience in a General Manager, Deputy General Manager, Commercial Manager, Operations Manager or comparable leadership role.
• Strong track record in FMCG, food and beverage, HORECA, retail, distribution or a related industry.
• Demonstrated Modern Trade and retail expertise and a good understanding of Cambodia’s commercial environment.
• Broad knowledge of sales, marketing, finance, supply chain, logistics, inventory and business operations.
• Strong financial and commercial skills, including budgeting, cost control, margin and profitability improvement, and ROI analysis.
• Practical, data‑informed approach to problem‑solving, planning and decision‑making.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and team‑development skills; able to align teams across departments.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Khmer.
