Factory Quality Assurance – Garment Industry

About the role

The Factory Quality Assurance (FQA) professional ensures that garment products meet customer requirements, company standards, and quality specifications throughout the manufacturing process. This onsite role involves factory inspections, production monitoring, risk identification, and implementation of corrective actions before shipment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑production, in‑line, pre‑final and final inspections of garments.
• Monitor production processes for compliance with approved specifications, samples and quality standards.
• Verify workmanship, measurements, fitting, labeling, packing and overall appearance.
• Identify quality issues, perform root‑cause analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Conduct factory quality assessments, process audits and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare accurate inspection reports, communicate findings to factories and internal stakeholders, and maintain documentation.
• Confirm finished garments meet quality standards before shipment, approving or rejecting shipments as needed.

Required profile

• College graduate.
• 2–5 years of experience in apparel quality assurance or garment manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, measurements, sewing techniques and finishing processes.
• Understanding of AQL inspection procedures and quality standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
