Commis Chef – Pastry / Bakery

About the role

The Commis Chef – Pastry/Bakery will support the culinary team at Park Hyatt Siem Reap, helping to deliver high‑quality pastry and bakery products for the hotel’s outlets and events. The role focuses on preparing ingredients, assisting in production, and maintaining the standards expected by the Hyatt brand.

Key responsibilities

• Wash, peel, cut and seed vegetables and fruits; clean, cut and grind meats, poultry and seafood.
• Prepare breaded items by dipping in crumbs, flour or batter and fry or bake as required.
• Stir, strain and finish soups, sauces and pastry fillings.
• Weigh and measure ingredients accurately for each recipe.
• Transport pans, trays and equipment between workstations, ovens and refrigerators.
• Store food items in designated areas and ensure proper labeling.
• Maintain clean workstations, equipment and utensils; manage waste disposal.
• Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment to service areas.
• Assist with quality control, buffet set‑up and presentation of pastry items.
• Uphold personal grooming standards and follow health, safety and hygiene policies.
• Participate in training sessions and support Hyatt’s brand values.
