Business Relationship Manager – SME Banking

About the role

The Business Relationship Manager for SME Banking will lead a team of Business Relationship Executives (BREs) to drive loan origination, portfolio management and customer satisfaction across the small‑and‑medium‑enterprise segment. This role combines credit assessment, market analysis and people management to achieve the bank’s profitability and risk objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Market, process and review loan applications, ensuring sound credit assessment and regular portfolio reviews.
• Optimize bank profitability by managing risk, staying updated on new loan products and financial services, and aligning offerings with customer needs.
• Handle customer complaints, taking appropriate actions to resolve issues promptly.
• Supervise and mentor Senior BREs and BREs, setting performance targets and monitoring achievement.
• Guide junior team members, fostering their development and ensuring high team performance.
• Monitor economic and market trends, evaluating credit risk for new lending opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Banking, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum four years of relevant experience in a financial institution or related industry.
• Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
• Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
