Backend Lead

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Lead to own our service architecture and guide a small, high‑impact backend team. The role blends hands‑on engineering with mentorship and cross‑team coordination, ensuring our APIs and services are reliable, performant, and well‑documented.

Key responsibilities

• Design and review backend architecture and API contracts.
• Mentor senior and junior backend engineers.
• Own backend reliability, performance, and code quality.
• Coordinate integration and delivery with Frontend, DevOps, and Data teams.
• Participate in technical planning and roadmap discussions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of backend engineering experience, including mentoring.
• Strong understanding of API design, databases, and system performance.
• Proficiency in object‑oriented programming, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
• Experience owning technical decisions end‑to‑end and strong analytical/problem‑solving skills.
