Associate/Assistant Merchandiser (Data)

About the role

The Associate/Assistant Merchandiser (Data) will support global sourcing operations by maintaining accurate SKU‑level vendor and costing data. You will work closely with sourcing teams across Williams‑Sonoma Global Operations to ensure pricing information is up‑to‑date and reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Consolidate and maintain SKU‑level vendor costing data.
• Manage vendor pricing revisions, negotiated discounts, and approved cost changes.
• Update and reconcile data across PLM and costing tools.
• Validate data for missing SKUs, duplicates, incorrect costs, and unusual price movements.
• Maintain version control, data accuracy, and audit trails.
• Prepare costing MIS, exception reports, and management updates.
• Improve and automate trackers and reporting processes to reduce manual effort.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, costing, product data, MIS, or vendor management.
• Strong analytical ability, high attention to detail, and ownership mindset.
• Effective coordination with multiple stakeholders.
• Proficient written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIFS/COUNTIFS, data validation).
• Power Query and Power BI knowledge.
• Experience with PLM systems and understanding of SKU/product lifecycle.
